Kanyon Tower, a new skyscraper in Egypt's New Administrative Capital, is set to become one of the country's most iconic landmarks. The tower, which is currently under construction, will stand at a height of 385 meters (1,263 ft) tall, making it one of the tallest buildings in Africa.

Designed by US-based architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the tower is part of a larger development project called "The Capital Cairo". The project aims to create a new urban center for Egypt that is sustainable, innovative, and connected to the surrounding landscape.

The Kanyon Tower will feature a range of amenities and facilities for residents and visitors, including residential apartments, office spaces, a luxury hotel, retail outlets, and a sky terrace offering panoramic views of the city.

According to SOM, the tower's design was inspired by the natural forms of the Nile River and the desert landscape of Egypt. The tower's twisting, sculptural form creates a dynamic and visually striking presence on the skyline of the New Administrative Capital.

The tower's façade will be composed of a series of triangular panels that reflect the changing light and colors of the surrounding environment. The panels will also help to reduce the building's energy consumption by minimizing solar heat gain and glare.

In addition to its aesthetic and functional qualities, the Kanyon Tower is also designed to be sustainable and environmentally friendly. The tower will incorporate a range of green technologies, including a high-performance façade, energy-efficient lighting, and a rainwater harvesting system.

Once completed, the Kanyon Tower will be a major landmark in the New Administrative Capital and a symbol of Egypt's ambition to create a modern, sustainable, and innovative urban center.
